Woo.... after a long break... im finally back...

Have been busy with school.... and also.. some problems at home...

Haiz... stress.... family problems.... though im really a person that tries to throw all my problems at the back of my mind...

But it does gets to me sometimes...

Anyways... things are slowly getting better.... and im really thankful of the group of good frens in my life.. thanks guys... you all are awesome

Sunday i went with CJ to Great World City... for Sun's new SKIN outlet there...

The place is so nice... and most important thing is.... Sun was there!!!!

She looks so pretty... she's just gorgeous... and she is like super frenly... and smiling at the people and attending to customers.... so approachable...

She was beautifully dressed in a gold and black dress.... just so pretty...

The shop was packed with people... the clothes are so nice too.... saw a jacket... but.. haha.. too ex... out of my league.... but im thinking of saving up for it... hope its still there in 2 mths time... hahaha..

Well i really had a great time there... eye opener.. to see so many people there... and of cos the beautiful Sun... and Belinda, the tv host is also there.... wooo.... ehhehe.... the shop was bustling with activity... as the customers were all busy trying out the new range of clothes and the counter was packed with people making payment too.... haha... busy busy...

Okie got to go... working now... hahaa... part time job... buaiz....

This is another song that i really really like.... the lyrics are very meaningful...

Often.... i will think.... someone like myself.... so imperfect... not pretty... not esp talented... nothing special about myself... a plain jane...

Will i really meet someone that likes me?

What is worth liking about myself?

Yea... sounds negative right?

But i guess... no matter how positive a person is.. there will be times like this..

Where everything seems so down... pessimistic...

Where time is spent wondering & pondering...

Of all the "could be's", "what-if's" and possibilities in my life if i had made different choices over the years...

Would i be happier if i had....

What if i had decide to blah blah blah INSTEAD of xxx?

Often we will just walk down a path that no ones support.. and come out of it full of hurts.. it may not be because its the wrong path.. but it
could be because its the correct path but yet a difficult one and with no support from others.. it makes it even harder..

But at the end of the day... most people live their life with a dream in mind... a dream that is fulfilled for some.. and for some.. its a dream that will never come true... for me... my dream seems so simple but yet hard to achieve...

A life spent serving & loving God and having someone whom i love by my side, loving this person... having a good family life, running my own cafe business..... having close frens to share my happiness with etc...

All these sounds so simple.. but its not easy to reach them too.... cos sometimes i find myself so plain.. so blend into the background.. tat i wonder.. will i ever be the person that i want myself to be? Or even live the life that i dream of? Will i ever find someone that will like someone like me?

A simple life.. its wat im craving for..

Hmmm its nearing the end of 2007 again...

Every year ard this period of time.. there will be some hype in town...

Cos its time where the artists and singers are rewarded for their hard work this year...

Regardless is it in Singapore, USA or other countries... countless award ceremonies are taking place..

From the prestigious Golden Horse Awards, to the arty farty Venice Film Festival... to our very local Star Awards and Singapore Hit Awards... these star dazzling events not only meant that fans get to see their favorite stars beautifully dressed and walking down the red carpet...

With the not to be missed critics talking about their dresses and suits... of whether is it a fashion disaster or a fashion must follow... haha...

But im excited this year... cos this year will not be the usual Singapore Hit Awards... cos SUN is nominated!!! Isn't that something to cheer about.

I'm really happy to see that her efforts are recognised by the judges...

SUN as a singer has really made a lot of breakthroughs.... reaching the top of billboards more than once and hitting the pinacle of UK song charts.. as an asian, especially a Singapore... its not something that's easy... *applause*...

Not only that.. her songs are very popular in Taiwan and China too.. that's totally awesome too..

Being out there on her own is not an easy job.. and after all these hard work.. SUN is nominated!! She truly deserves it..

Wow... all this while Sun has been really popular in China... called the Ambassador of Love, albums by Sun are also very well received, they even printed copies of a special Stamp collection that features Sun... Now with the Beijing Olympics, Sun is even more well known in China.

Saw the above while surfing Sun's website... she's so amazing... the two items that she donated to the Special Oylmpics Charity event raised RMB 600,000, bringing in the highest proceed amongst all. In addition, she even performed the Special Oylmpics theme song with one of China's most popular singer Sun Nam... isnt it great?

Its always a joy to see Sun and other local singers shine overseas... well even in a small island like ours... there are still thousands and countless numbers of talents to be discovered ya? Hehe... hmm... wonder will any of my frens become a celebrity one day... hehe...

This is one of Sun's songs from her old albums... for me this song is extra meaningful... cos i feel that the lyrics are really very true... and true reflections of my personal emotions at certain periods of my life

Even though it is not a very new song... but whenever i hear it.. it still gives me an awakening call... reminding me of what i need to do... like what i mentioned before... lyrics of a song plays an important part in the message the singer or the song sends out... this song really touches my heart...

The chorus really hit me when i first heard it...

Isnt it so true... that sometimes we hang on to things too much... holding on too tightly... thinking that the tighter we hold it... it will stay with us forever...

Be it friendships... material things... hurts... anger... unforgiveness... unrequited love....

But if you actually choose to release these... you will realize that u will come to gain the long awaited freedom that we have been searching for...

For some... they thought that the thing that they did was right... that holding on to something dearly would give them the end result that they are looking for... but often.. it is when you give it up or released it then will you gain what you've been looking for or something even better...

Possessing something.. or hanging on to something does not necessarily make you more "wealthy" instead it could make you more lonely... hurting in the dark corners of your life... crying without realizing why.. suffering not knowing the cause of it...

Of course many a times... giving up or releasing is not something easy... but one step at a time... as long as we work towards it... we'll succeed in doing it one day...

The last line also is another reflection of myself... there are somethings that I've always hanged on to dearly... cos they are precious memories to me... and it doesnt need anyone or anything to proof it... I know it myself that I do not wanna give up... but its for my own good to give up cos it wont do me good to continue hanging on to it.. hoping that some miracle will happen.. and i did.. i did give up... i should say im working towards giving it up.. no matter how hard it is or how long it will take..

Im working towards the day where i will get my true freedom... jus like how the song says....

Have been reading the newspaper recently [have always been la but you know.. this is the story telling part]... and definitely... everyday amazing things happen...

Sometimes things that seems unbelievable....

But recently the thing that really caught my attention.. is none other than our very own "Made in Singapore - Sun Ho"

All this while.. I've been a music lover... listening to anything that is nice and as long as its not Heavy Metal.. hehe.. personal preference ya know

And when I saw so much being written about Sun... irregardless of wat the content was... it just kinda cause me to become curious of why people say that about her, about who she is exactly.. of cos other than the names that people have given her... i would rather check it out myself then believe immediately what others have to say

It started with borrowing an album from my friend.. cos frankly I dun normally buy CDs.. okie I'm a stingy person.. lol.. joking..

And it was great.. so i bought a copy myself.. cos for me.. other than a nice melody.. the song lyrics are very important.. and in Sun's latest album.. Embrace.. I found really great lyrics... touching... heart-warming... the deepest expression of one's emotions...

With that I started following up on her updates.. updates from friends, from newspaper, from internet etc and was really surprised... happy and amazed when the news was released that she was chosen as the Beijing Oylmpics Ambassador. How great is that?

I'm not sure how many people know about this... seeing the great importance and hype that always accompanied the Oylmpics... I guess there are people that know about it ba...  Do YOU know? If not, i'm telling you about it here... hehe

I mean.. as a Singaporean.. though I cant say that im super patriotic... I dun even hang the flag during national day... oops.. sorry.. to me.. i leave it to my mum... haha... but I'm real proud to see that our very own local singer is being chosen... isn't that a great piece of news?

A small island like ours, yet a fellow Singaporean is chosen to be the music ambassador for the prestigious Olypmics... where the world focuses on that particular nation during the period of time.. where everything about the event is written into world history.. isnt it cool to have our own people involved? Its simply fantastic :P

I'm just so proud of her... Sun... Go Go Go.. Gambate... I'm behind you... though as small as I am... i'll still wanna be a support..  no matter how small and insignificant it.. You are an inspiration
